We are actively seeking collaborators for the Risk and Resilience project.

This project has multiple components:

  • Scientific research project (currently being developed as a proposal) to use lake sediments to understand the complex earthquake history near the California/Oregon border, with collaborative research potential for similar studies throughout the Pacific Northwest and California, as well as more globally. Collaborative research potential exists in a variety of fields from paleoclimatology to pollution remediation.

  • Development of a loosely-tied group of organizations focused on regional hazards, from earthquakes to the environment. Organizations interested in empowering local people, with established ties to rural communities in the Pacific Northwest are especially encouraged to become involved.

We especially encourage involvement from those who have a similar desire for inclusiveness and creativity in science and beyond.

If your organization is interested in participating in the Risk and Resilience Project, please fill out the form below. Be sure to identify the project component you are interested in!
